SOUND HEALING
& SACRED DRUM GUIDED JOURNEY with JEFF DEEN Saturday, March 6, 7-8:30pm
Join
meditational drummer Jeff Deen as he transmits healing vibrations and Sound Blessings
through his enchanting drums and percussion instruments from around the world.
Feel the deep vibrations of the drum take you deeper into the depths of yourself,
where you can confront, feel and release all that you do not need.
Some
of this meditation will be guided. This journey will not involve the audience
drumming; rather, this is your time to simply receive healing vibrations.
Please
bring a yoga mat and/or blanket so that you may lie down and receive comfortably. $20.

SATSANG
with SPECIAL GUESTS SHUBALANANDA and ASHLEY FLAGG Sunday, March 7, 7-9pm
Shubalananda
travels, with his friends, across the eastern United States leading his unique
brand of kirtan. He and Ashley Flagg will be our special guests at our regular
Sunday Satsang. Join us for a short guided meditation and the traditional Sivananda
daily chants, followed by kirtan with our new friends Shubal and Ashley.
For
the past 25 years, Shubal has studied kirtan and bhajan with many of India's great
gurus and musicians. He offers his kirtan, and his guitar and harmonium playing,
as a gift to his highest Self as well as the community around him. Ashley has
been studying music, yoga and life for many years. Her voice supports and colors
Shubal's kirtan.

INTRODUCTION TO SANSKRIT,
THE SCIENCE OF SOUND VIBRATION with MA BHASKARANANDA Part I, Sunday, March

Part I: The Evolution
of Sound from Vibration to Speech. Alphabet and mantra chanting for holistic
healing and natural peace. Sanskrit, the language of meditation and enlightenment.
Part
II: Sanskrit Study is Self-Study, Svadhyaya. Alphabet and mantra chanting for
holistic healing and natural peace. Om as vibration, manifestation, expansion
and completion. $25 per day or $45 for both days.
Ma Bhaskarananda
studied directly with Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati, (Dr. Rammurti Mishra, M.D.)
for more than 15 years, receiving intensive training in meditation, Sanskrit language
and Yoga-Vedanta philosophy. She has been a longtime resident teacher at Ananda
Ashram in Monroe, NY, and formerly served as director of its sister organization,
Brahmananda Ashram in San Francisco. Ma Bha was also a Sanskrit teacher at the
Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque for 8 years and teaches at other centers in
the U.S., Europe and India. Ma Bha has been a visiting teacher to South
Florida for many years. These are the last classes that she will be teaching this
year before returning to New York. We warmly welcome this fun, inspiring and much-loved
teacher. TWO-HOUR YOGA CLASS with LIVE
SACRED MUSIC! featuring RICHARD BROOKENS Saturday, March 20, 4-6pm
It
will be a magical afternoon as we practice yoga to the live sounds of bamboo flutes
from India and China, tablas (drums from India), udus (clay pots from Africa),
and a Balinese gong, along with ambient tracks from Richards previous works.
Enjoy the peaceful ambience of the Yoga Warehouse as senior teacher Mohini leads
the class in two hours of classical hatha yoga practice, allowing the music to
take you on a unique yoga journey.
Richard is a longtime friend of the
Yoga Warehouse and has played percussion here at many Satsangs and special events.
He has played locally with artists Bhagavan Das, Durga Das (David Newman), Russill

and music) and a short reading, all in the Sivananda tradition. Beginners and

The International
